My 7 Favourite Podcasts

November 30, 2018 | Social Media | 2 comments

I am addicted to podcasts, there I said it! I absolutely love them. I listen in the car, soaking in the bath, when I am editing and before I go to bed. There is never a time I don't pop a podcast on these days.

A podcast is so easy to listen too and I often feel like I am sat in a room with a bestie. Here are a list of my current favourite podcast that I am listening too, in no particular order...

Hashtag Authentic

Hosted by Sara Tasker of Me and Orla Instagram fame. Sara lives in Yorkshire , England with her husband and daughter Orla

"Hashtag Authentic is my podcast for Instagrammers, bloggers and online creatives. Each month we share strategies, stories, tips and experience to help you bloom and grow through your online adventures. Brought to you by Sara Tasker, Instagram coach and photographic influencer, this podcast is for anyone navigating the world of online success whilst trying to stay true to themselves & their future dreams."

Sara's podcasts are mainly focused around social media and entrepreneurship. Sara holds solo podcasts as well as inviting guests to talk about subjects like "how to get press coverage", "how to stop worrying about what others think" all things instagram, branding and being an entrepreneur in general.

Sara has published a book "Hashtag Authentic" which comes out early next year.

"A chart topping business podcast led by Jenna dishing the best mini-marketing trainings and sharing interviews featuring the ultimate girl bosses"

Raw Milk

I love Beth Kirby, also known as Local Milk on Instagram and her website. Beth lives half the year in Tennesse and the other half in Paris. Travels the world teaching her food and lifestyle photography workshops.

"Raw Milk is Beth Kirby's Instagram filter-free podcast for creative entrepreneurs where she gets raw, real, and sometimes ridiculous about what it really takes to build a life and business you love, live slow, travel more, make an impact, and make money while you do it."

Beth talks openly about her mental health struggles on her podcasts. She hosts solo and also has some pretty awesome guests. Subjects cover all aspects of running a business from " how to stand out in a crowd" ,"the big fears that hold creatives back" , instagram and mental health for creatives.

Janet Murray

I have just started to listen to Janet Murray's podcasts. After suggesting to a friend I realised I hadn't listen to one myself! Janet has been on constantly these past few days in the car. Janet was a journalist for The Guardian before she set up her business as a marketing expert.

I highly recommend episode 318 " How to ace your content strategy 2019. I am actually going to have to listen again with a note book to hand! Full of so much amazing content as are all the podcasts I have listen to so far. Highly recommend you tune in to Janet now for setting your marketing intentions for 2019. You will not regret it!

Make it Happen

Hosted by Jen Carrington, Make it Happen is a podcast for big-hearted creative business owners. Jen is another newbie to my podcast listening. A business coach Jen gives lots of great advice in her podcasts, and I never leave empty handed . I am always motivated to carry out her advice.

Currently 7 series in her podcast list so lots of catching up to do. Some of my favourites are season 4, episode 1; The books that have shaped my creative work and life. Season 7, episode 2; Start with your mindset.

Jen's podcasts cover all areas of being an entrepreneur, the self doubt we have and the tools to help us become a better person.

The Fringe of It

"A weekly podcast from Liv Purvis (What Olivia Did) and Charlotte Jacklin (Betty) aka out of touch early grandma's (wishing they had their own radio show), navigating their way through millennial life and laughing a lot in between."

I have been following Charlotte on instagram for over a year now and am in love with her stories and feel like we are BFF's already lol! So it was only natural for me to go and listen to The Fringe of it when it launched earlier this year.

Definitely one for the girls, grab a glass of wine and nibbles whilst listening to Charlotte and Liv chat all things style, holidays, stress and people pleasing among some of the topics the girls discuss.

Reasons to be Cheerful

Totally non business related this one. Hosted by ex labour MP Ed Milaband and radio host Geoff Lloyd. I was introduced to Reasons to be Cheerful by a good friend to listen too a particular episode on transgender issues. This podcast comes under news and politics, pretty unusual subject matter for me to be honest, but I really enjoy them. I choose episodes that are on a subject matter I am interested in ie plastic plastic plastic episode 58 . More like a radio chat show as several guests are part of each episode.
